Journey Through 9 Decades of Die-Cast History
The Wheels of Wonder Museum is built around one of the largest die-cast car collections in the world, featuring approximately 120,000 vehicles spanning generations of design, play, and imagination. The collection showcases an extraordinary range of beloved brands, including Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, Disney, Jada, Maisto, Muscle Machines, Action Racing, Winners Circle, Kustom City, Racing Champions, and many more. What began as Ted Kwas’ personal collection has grown into a shared experience inviting visitors to explore the stories behind the cars, the memories they carry, and the joy they continue to inspire.
Designed to be welcoming, interactive, and accessible for all ages, the museum goes beyond display cases. Through hands-on exhibits, rotating collections, and community programming, Wheels of Wonder celebrates the power of play, the creativity of design, and the connections cars create across time.
Shifting Gears, Sharing Years

The Wheels of Wonder Museum will be a partnership between the City of Burkburnett, the Burkburnett Development Corporation, and the Texas Die-Cast Car Museum, a nonprofit entity that will manage the operations of the museum.
